Perry's Victory and International Peace Memorial opens it's visitor center on weekends from 10 am to 6 pm. On every hour during the weekend, there will be guided tours available. The normal business hours resume April 23 here at the most recognizable symbol of Put-in-Bay. A parade to celebrate "man's best friend" is held in downtown Put-in-Bay. This event is held to benefit the Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church. The entry is $10 per pooch. Prizes are awarded for the smallest, largest, most talented, best dressed, cutest and the owner look-a-like doggie. All participants receive a package of goodies to enjoy with their canines. 7th Annual Lake Erie Islands Browns Backers Rib Cook-off |
The Skyway at Put-in-Bay will be hosting the 7th annual Rib Cook-Off of the Lake Erie Islands Browns Backers. In attendance will be former Cleveland Browns players, The Bone Lady, Big Dawg, Mobile Dawg, Brownie the Elf and the Charlie Fryes. Come by and grab a picture and autograph. Put-in-Bay Cup Soccer Challenge |
The 5th annual Soccer Challenge will be held at McCann field near downtown Put-in-Bay. This consists of a 6 on 6 amateur adult soccer tournament with a limit of 10 individuals per roster. The games will be held on a 60 x 40 pitch with no offside. A size 4 ball is used and goals measure 6 x 12 feet. The Bay Lodging Resort and the Put-in-Bay Resort are the preferred lodging for this event and for rental homes we recommend the Island Club. Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Indiana and Canadian residents are anticipated to compete in this event. The Lake Erie Islands Historical Society will host their annual fundraiser in the Crescent Tavern Pavilion in downtown Put-in-Bay. Dive Put-in-Bay Harbor Clean up |
A clean-up of downtown Put-in-Bay's harbor will be undergone from 9 am to 2 pm. Divers from across Ohio and beyond will come together to help clean our waters. This event generally draws over 70 divers and nearly 300 ashore assisting in cleaning up the harbor. Support for this event comes from the Put-in-Bay community, the DeRivera Park Trust, the Put-in-Bay Chamber of Commerce, the New Wave Dive Center of Port Clinton, the Ohio State University Stone Lab, the Ohio Council of Skin and Scuba Divers, Inc. and many other island businesses and individuals. |

35th Annual PIBFD Island Style Clam Bake |
The Put-in-Bay Volunteer Fire Department hosts the 34th annual Island style Clam Bake. Saturday form 3 pm to 7 pm, folks can enjoy some tasty food at the Fire Station on Concord Avenue. Meals include a 1/2 chicken, a dozen clams, corn, potato and fresh fruit. There is even carryout! Costs for this event is $23 per person with monies raised benefiting the PIBFD. The Put-in-Bay Island Wine Festival is marking their 8th year of this great event. It takes place Saturday from 11 am to 6 pm under a large tent in DeRivera Park in downtown Put-in-Bay.
