For a great family oriented event head to Put-in-Bay to celebrate Queen Victorias Birthday by planting seeds of peace! Celebrate Canadian Independence Day weekend along with the Perry Victory And International Peace Memorial Rangers who will assist children in making seed pods from newspapers. Rangers will provide instruction and demonstrations on how to properly make and plant them. The program will stress the importance of selecting native plants and not introducing invasive foreign species into the environment. This weekend is a great way to introduce children to Earth Day and the many things for kids to do at Put-in-Bay.
The family event will take place on Saturday, May 18th with three programs being held at 11:00 AM, 2:00 PM & 4:00 PM This weekend also marks the reopening of the Perry Victory and International Peace Memorial.
