Memorial Day Weekend 2023
At Put-in-Bay, this three-day Memorial Day weekend has grown to be one of the busiest and most popular weekends of the year. Marking many families end of the school year and the start of summer vacations, Put-In-Bays’ most popular entertainers return to the island to perform this weekend, many with multiple shows!
On May 28th & 29th of Memorial Day weekend, there will be a demonstration of Historic Firearms and the Park’s Carronade by Park Rangers & Volunteers. The programs will cover items such as the 1812 military uniform, the proper handling of black powder, and the steps to firing a musket.
Historic Firearms demonstrations will take place at 11:00 am 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm.
Carronade demonstrations will be given at Noon, 2:00 pm, and 4:00 pm.
There will be a 1:00p m Junior Ranger program “Join the Army”
Memorial Day Weekend Services
May 30th in the lower plaza of the Perry Victory and International Peace Memorial at 11:00 am, Memorial Day Services will be held to honor our Veterans past and present. Both Sunday and Monday feature an antique car parade started years ago by island legend Skip Duggan. The car parade generally starts around 2:30 pm and at times features over 100 antique and classic cars. A big hit with the kids is the candy truck at the end tossing a treat to the children.
The Put-in-Bay Resorts award-winning pool and swim-up bar will be the daily hot spot serving up great music, fun times, and awesome food and drinks.
