The Put-in-Bay Perry group is a non-profit 501(3)C organization that supports educational and cultural programs at Perry’s Victory Monument located at Put-in-Bay. Among the events supported by the Perry Group are the Firelands Symphony and the Toledo Symphony orchestras annual performances at Put-in-Bay.

A new license plate with an image of the Perry Memorial and “Put-in-Bay” at the bottom is now available for Ohio vehicles through the Ohio BMV and the state’s online ordering system at www.oplates.com. The Put-in-Bay license plate currently is the only special plate offered by Ohio that actually has a municipality’s name on it. The new Put-in-Bay plates, which cost an additional $25, will help generate needed funds for the Perry Group, a non-profit 501(3)C organization that supports educational and cultural programs at Perry’s Victory.

The Perry Group, also known as The Friends of Perry’s Victory, was also instrumental in raising more than $125,000 to produce the free War of 1812/Battle of Lake Erie movie for visitors and to help defray the cost of some of the displays at the visitor center. The Put-in-Bay Perry Group has also helped sponsor several visits by the Brig Niagara during Historical Weekend at Put-in-Bay and helped organize the Historical Weekend event which includes an 1812 Living History Military encampment, the performance by the Toledo Symphony and Art in the Park. The Perry’s Victory Visitor Center opened in late May of 2002 and had more than 204,000 visitors that year. Admission to the visitor center is free.
